Thanks to this machine I can deal with all this nonsensical pain in my left arm and hand. Easy to use and setup. The only thing would be a better instructions manual as you have to go trying where to block the pain but when you find the right spots, everything is fine. Also, the batteries last forever. I thought this kind of machines would drain a couple of AA per month but I’m still with the ones that came with the initial pack back in March Absolutely recommended purchase
Its works well - helping to get strength, feeling and sensitivity to my arm and leg after suffering a stroke
I suffer with Joint Hypermobility and have had several operations on my left leg which has left a lot of nerve damage. Consequently I am in constant pain from it. Muscles had wasted and cramped up badly at times. Enter the IntelliSTIM BE-28E. This is my third TENS/EMS machine I have used and it is by far the best. The sheer number of programs which can be used at varying intensity and wave shapes and duration are mind boggling but the unit is simple to use (on the pre-programmed settings at least). The self programmed ones are a bit more complicated and the manual truly sucks in explaining how to set it up for alternate muscle groups. I'm an ex programmer/analyst and even I was scratching my head at the wave shape problems for alternate group activation (ie one muscle is contracted and released then the other muscle is contracted and released). Took me ages but it is working now... but I still mainly use the pre-recorded settings. But even with a crappy manual this device is awesome. At times even the painkillers don't stop my leg aching and cramping up. I unzip the case, slap on the electrodes, connect the wires and turn on the unit... INSTANT RELIEF! It is essential that you find the locations on your body that allows the EMS to work properly. Took me a while to find where my leg tens points were but now I can find them really quickly (and when the pain hits you need to be quick). The unit has also allowed me to exercise the damaged leg muscles that were wasting away which has helped reduce the cramping considerably. I thoroughly recommend this unit.
I used a similar item at Stoke Mandeville and after consulting my physio I decided to purchase this machine. It has proved to be very good and I use it each day to help with muscle stimulation. You need to read the booklet that comes with the equipment to ensure that the pads are placed in the correct positions.
my physio let me use hers as i was having problems wit spasms in my leg im in a wheel chair it worked on me from day one so i bought one esy to use and would recomend delivery was very quick
I have been using this machine for several months on my wife after she had a stroke. It was specifically recommended by the Physiotherapist and I have been very impressed with the results in my wife's recovery. She has regained 25% more movement in her arm even though the stroke was over a year ago.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Great product simple to use only thing that could improve the package would be to include a motor point pen as placement of the pads is difficult to get a good location on the muscle - however the machine can make up the shortfall with it's wide range of intensity settings.
Tried one from our physio so ordered one for ourselves. Easy to use and excellent, effective product. Highly recommend this.
