The Picture above shows placement at the locations where the nerves from the womb and birth canal join the spinal cord. This is only a guide, as everyone varies in shape and size. However, by using the larger oblong electrodes, a greater area is covered and, with the suggested electrode placement, the appropriate areas should be stimulated. If you are in any doubt, we recommend you check with your midwife.
Draw a horizontal line across the sharp angle at the base of the shoulder blades. The top of the upper electrodes should be placed approximately three finger widths down from this.
Place the centre of the lower electrodes at the S3 level, which is just below the dimples at the top of the buttocks.
